The Military Museums

The second-biggest military museum in Canada is located in Calgary, Alberta, and is the largest tri-service museum in Western Canada.

The Military Museums house eight separate museums including the Naval, Army, and Air Force Museums of Alberta, the Air Force Cold War Museum, the four museums of the founding regiments, Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians), Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI), The King’s Own Calgary Regiment and The Calgary Highlanders. It also includes the U of C Founders’ Gallery and the TMM Library & Archives.

Gift Shop at the TM

The Military Museums’ gift shop features a large selection of items related to its eight unique museums and galleries. This contains a huge assortment of apparel, accessories, posters, scale models, books, toys, and souvenirs.

Although we try to open the gift shop every day, since it is staffed entirely by volunteers, the hours may change. The Military Museums are supported directly by every purchase made at the gift shop. Educational Programs offered at the TMM

The Military Museums is supported by The Military Museums Foundation, a non-profit organization that organizes a wide variety of Alberta curriculum-based educational programs, workshops, and tours to local schools.
